Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who played lead guitar of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed in the rock world. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention within their home country of the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. She started taking voice lessons followed by her first album "Out For Blood" and then "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and was largely absent from the world of rock for a decade. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her biggest songs. Her success was unfortunately not long-lasting and, for a few years after, she went under the radar. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards it was back in the spotlight. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Time Capsule, was made available. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
