Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress, and songwriter for many years. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by a lot of Americans. In the ninth grade, after a school audition where she received high praise for her voice as she built confidence. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but also changed the direction she pursued in her career. When she was 22, she graduated from the New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, she began her career making her debut at the Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she starred in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot receiving not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. As a professional singer, she's also produced songs as well as an extensive work. Also, she's an activist and is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
